diagnostic software help

hi all i have downloaded software from tvrsite.but when i open it up it is just full of different files is this correct and once i plug it into my ecu does it run the programme. this is goin to be my first time doing this so any pointers in the right way could be usefull

Look for the file that is a application and is called ECUDIAGS double click this and it should open. I made a short cut to my desk top to hand

There's also some "README" text files in the download. Have a read through them and it should all start making sense.

The main thing to remember (and what caught me out) is if you're doing this without the engine running then the car must be ready to start, i.e. the imobiliser has to be off.

Open notepad, type something in it and minimise it. The diagnostics program tries to shut down your pc when it closes, so having something in notepad stops this (as it asks do you want to save etc).

All the same, even has a picture of a yellow cerb on it! As far as I know.
