Where to source Magnecore Leads - KV85 AJP 4.5

Hi, I am planning on swapping coilpacks shortly to try and eradicate a misfire at around 4k RPM. I am thinking it would probably help to replace the leads as well.

I see the car needs Magnecore Leads KV85 leads. They seem to be around £100 all in. For other car makes on google they are quite a bit cheaper. Are they all cut to length which adds to the cost?

Can anyone advise on a cheap set that will be the correct length and don't need cutting?

Jules used to do a set which were cut to length and many times better than the originals.

He current works at raceproved so they might be worth trying

It is recommended to avoid magencor for ajp's. Do a search? Stick with originals? What do Tvr power sell? Go with those..!?

i've had no issues with my leads yet, not saying they won't but if i get a decent service life out of them then i'll be happy if i have to change them

TVR do recommend 8.5mm magnecore as far as I can tell.



I've noticed the cheap ebay ones are 8m.

several people have had mis fire problems with the magnecor leads these problems have only been sorted when they revert back to original leads.

If you have a mis fire now what leads do you currently use?

One of the first maintenance issues I had involved changing leads/coilpacks. Bought the red Magnecor leads from ACT and not had any issue whatsoever since, no misfires, no hesitation and no complaints.
