Best place for chassis restoration?

Later in the year I'm planning to send my chassis for a full restoration. I will be supplying the chassis bare and will be wanting new outriggers and a complete re-paint. Just looking for opinions from people who have already had this work done. I know there are a few garages out there at the moment offering this service, but who's best?..

They recently had an open day where I did a bit of a reccy, from what I could see their work is top notch, needless to say my chassis will be refurbed by them.

I'm currently talking to a fellow in the midlands who has been doing TVR chassis for 30 years - should be getting the work done starting in a couple of weeks' time. I'll let you know how I get on...

Make sure the whole out rigger is replaced rather than just part. No point not cutting back to the chassis to see if rust has travelled all the way because it will.

Not bad price for body off, outrigger replace and chassis painted.

Those prices include body off/removal. You can save 50% I reccon if you remove the shell yourself! If you f fancy it!!!?

You'd think they'd replace the complete E-Sections for that price. From what I can see from the photos, it looks like they sleeve them.

I've called and emailed them asking for a quote for outriggers replacement/repaint if I supplied the chassis bare. No response, so I guess they're not interested.

Is there anywhere else I should be looking?..

Track v Road do the whole out rigger rather than a part job. They use a jig and your car to fit correctly. I know it seems odd why do you need your car if they have a jig... Simple every Cerbera is slightly different from the other and to correctly fit your car the out riggers are fitted perfectly to your own car rather than just an average shaped car if you see what I mean. Give them a call and you will not look back.

But most of us can make more money whilst not working on the car.....My spare time is better spent with family etc

Sod that i only work 6 months of the year i NEED a tvr to pull to bits in 6 months i have off to keep me busy while every one else is at work

Just read what I put above and it reads crap but you need the body to help align everything to fit your car.
