1st proper drive and the affair has started

The insurance started this weekend for my Cerb and today was my first time at driving it, intentions were an hour out in her this morning, just to get used to it, give it a check over and come home. I got a bit carried away, managed to kill off 65quid of fuel and turned up back home at 3pm, god it is fast and very drivable, everybody looks, kids wave, and dogs bark! Safe to say iv got the bug...

You just don't get that with a porker.

Subject to getting to sales target (only two units away so should be fine), I will be off next weekend so if the weather is good we could have a blast on the back roads.

Hahahaha.... It's the way people come over & talk to you while sat in traffic I find bizarre!!!

Had a 7 hour battle to le mans with a 911tt - it's better traction and damping make all the difference. Quicker? Not much in it until 185 when I couldn't keep up... (in Cerb no 2)....Gazzab said:

Better traction yes but above 100mph they (911)feel light at the front & going into fast bends you do feel the weight of the engine hanging out the back come into play,the rear tyres roll a bit.I cannot see how the TT is faster than a Cerb through the gears TBH, it may feel faster as the turbo's kick in but you would have to keep it spooled up.
Iv never noticed the light feeling in the front of it, but it's not confident in the bends, you never know when that arse end is going to break away. 4wd cars with the engine hanging out the back can soon end in disaster, as did the bloke who planted his 997tt outside my work gates the other morning
John was talking about the light front end feeling from a 911, not a Cerbera. I find the Cerb pretty impressive in the dry, more confidence inspiring than the naysayers would have you believe. There's an awful lot of mechanical grip and even when the back end breaks away a touch, its reasonably progressive. Completely different in the wet though, not enough confidence in my own ability to push the envelope. It constantly feels edgy when its wet on the roads.
I was talking about the 911, iv drove it a few times and never had a light feeling, as for the cerb it's confident, it's like a go-kart, a v8 gokart At that! Was quite suprised how easy it is to drive through the bends. I don't think I'd dare drive it in the wet at anything more than 'get me home mode'
