Finally took the plunge and dipped beam problem.
Discussion
Finally took the plunge & purchased Sportie's very loud & very yellow 4.5 (thanks to Rob Ingleby's inspection service...top bloke!). The car really is the canine's undercarriage! Break out into a smile everytime I open the garage door.
Driving home after picking the car up, thought to myself it wasnt 'that' much quicker than my Griff, until I looked at the speedo...oops (and spotted silver Cerb on the M40 Saturday morning, reg S17...., you on here?)
May have to put the cats back on, keep getting wagging fingers from old ladies for scaring them and shouts from the mothers of small children for making them cry, ho hum :-)
Seem to have an intermittent fault with the steering wheel dipped beam button, lights off or sidelights on, the button only seems to work 1 in about 20 tries, but with lights on full, the button seems to work everytime (only been out in it once in the dark so it may have just been a fluke that it worked!). Is this a common 'they all do that Sir' thing, or is there a (hopefully) simple fix?
Have always had my TVRs looked after by Simon/Brian at Ferhurst, but was wondering if I should speak to Austec about looking after the Cerb, as they are only a few miles from home? Thoughts/reccomendations?
Still trying to work out the best entry/exit tactics compared to the Griff. At first (being of rugby prop stature) entry seemed to be to lean in as far as possible then just fall into the seat with exit being a pure and simple fall out and end up on the pavement/road! Getting better at it, not making as much of a tit of myself now, practise makes perfect etc.

Don't understand...
The swivel knob next to the steering wheel is for your off/sidelights/dipped beam, and the button on the steering wheel is for full beam on/off or a flash of your lights as far as I remember.
Someone who knows what they are talking about will be along shortly. I'm not at my car just now so can't check for you.

Congrats, and a very good colour for a Cerb if you don't mind me saying so
It could be the ribbon connector in the steering wheel hub that has strated to fracture. You might find that other wheel controled functions start to go "intermittent". A new ribbon was about £25 a couple of years ago and easy to fit yourself.
Try Andy at APM nr Liphook for looking after your Cerbera.

I can highly recommend Austec - ask to speak to Mike - he will run you through their operation. Paul is the engineering brain behind it all - positivly expert on TVR, especially AJP engines (which is a rarer skill)
They are booked out 2 weeks ahead ususally, but they don't rip you off, and always sort a few things for free at service time.

Took the car to work today, oddly, button worked faultlessly on the way there, allowing me to flash away to my heart's content, driving home tonight, not so much as a flicker. Is this why I love TVRs so much? LOL
Thanks for the reccomendations, will give Austec a bell when the time comes.
