So... Who's come up with a genius solution to the ridiculous "glue it on every time" solution for the already awkward cover over the clutch fluid reservoir?

Or is it (another ) one of those little things we just live with?

Incidentally - I'm assuming it has a cover for a good reason, I.e. There's something sensitive under there somewhere?

Hmmm not just in through the windows then eh...

Lives under a cover, and doesn't go out in the rain, so I'll leave it off for now then - until I work out whether there's a problem or not.

I've never re sealed mine, I just put the 2 screws in.

I agree it's a bloody stupid idea when it's one of those fluid checks your supposed to do. Perhaps longer screws and a rubber gasket would have been a better idea.

I've never glued it, I just put duck tape on it, and I've driven it in all sorts of weather with no water leaks.

Sounds absurd, and may damage the paintwork, but I've used duck tape to try to keep the bonnet closed before I fixed the closing mechanism.

Wonder if I could fashion a cover, probably 2 parts, that seals "whats underneath" but leaves the cap exposed so checking/top ups are possible without taking the whole thing out...
