Draft from drivers foot well / around steering column

Any obvious places to check where a draft could be coming through the bulkhead? I've checked the ventilation hoses and they are all OK.

There is an air vent near where your left knee would be when sitting in the drivers seat, is that open?

I feel like an amputee when I drive my car in the winter due to losing all feeling in my feet.

Dont think anyone has ever found a permanent cure although a couple of people swear by sticking half a tennis ball in one of the air intakes in the nose below the indicators for the winter. IIRC its the driver's side.

When I picked it up a week ago it was really bad due to the cold air pipe having been knocked off, now that really was cold. Got all the hot air vents open and fan on full (cold air fan is off...) and its not too bad upto around 70. Sealing off the cold air completely for the winter sounds like a plan...

You'll need to block the gap behind the RHS headlight, above the wheel arch, to stop a breeze coming back through it.

Its a pig of a job as there is very bad access to the area.

Try stuffing a sponge in a bag in there (seriously).

Ah - so perhaps I have bought a car with less items on it which is why my running costs are reasonably low - See other post !!

My '97 does.. didn't know it was there for a couple months lol! I don't think its visible from the drivers seat, you have to either feel for it or get a torch out and take a look

The deivers side footwell vent on my '97 is just beside my left knee when I'm sitting in the drivers seat.

Don't expect them all to be the same however, they are TVRs after all.
