Spider Center caps

I just offered my spiders up to the hubs on the rear and the center caps popped out due to them fouling the hub center can you but slightly deeper ones?

I am running Tuscans fronts all round There does seem to be 2 different caps on it but only a few mm in it and i am sure the will come out right away as they dont bite in far enough.

I'm sure i read on here some where to cut off a few threads to be able to make them fit, but wait for someone else to say to confirm or deny.

That's exactly it.

Yep you have to cut some thread off. I used a 4in grinder with very thin metal blade

hacksaw is best. I was warned off from using a grinder due to heat build up.

I used a hacksaw to prevent heat build up too. Despite looking like a sizable chunk of steel the 'dimpled' end means it's fairly quick to get through. Just a bit of an arkward angle to get at really.

Thats why I used the ultra thin blade very little heat build up but a hack saw will do it

I did mine with a normal 4 1/2 inch angle grinder. Just gently grind the axle thread, if it changes colour (goes blue) you are doing it too fast

Used a hacksaw to do mine, the steel is suprisingly soft. 10 minutes a side if I remember correctly.
