Had the balance of a transferable 5 star warranty when I bought the Cerb, sent off the transfer of ownership form and £25. Got a letter back saying they had declined the transfer, no explination, no cheque.
(Not sure about the previous owner's claim history
but I dont believe he took the urine out of them)

Called WMS this morning, told that they were not prepared to give me a reason as to why they had declined the transfer, basically very unhelpfull. Wouldnt send my cheque back, just said it wouldnt be cashed! (Like I have faith in them now?)

If this is how helpful WMS are, then its almost a blessing that I have to look for another warranty company pretty sharpish (you know what always happens as your warranty runs out!)

Reccomendations and prices please gang?

Nick W.

Not much help but have used Warranty Works (olympic) and they just wriggled out of a claim by me-so I personally wouldn't recommend them.

My warrenty is through Car Plan...

It was supplied by the dealer when I bought the car and was around the £500 mark I think.

They covered my previous two tuscans and paid out a tremendous amount on those over ther 12 months or so I had them they sent inspectors to the dealer but never refused to pay as long as the claim limit wasn't exceeded.

So far (touch wood) I haven't had to claim on the Cerbie.

Regards

Just spoke to Sportie (who I bought the car from), he confirmed he hasnt made a single claim on the warranty so I can see no reason why they wont transfer the policy. Dave (Sportie) phoned to say he is going to speak to Street, who supplied the warranty, to ask them to 'have a word' with WMS, who supplies all of Street's warranty policies, to see if they will honour the transfer, so fingers crossed.

But, if they make this much fuss about transferring a warranty, what chance do I have of them accepting a claim??

Bah humbug!

Car Care Plan.
550 squid to renew for this year. £2000 claim limit but I'm trying to extend this to £5000.

My clutch went earlier this year and they covered it without a quibble. I think you'll find this is unusual.

OK, update.

Dave spoke to Street, who spoke to the WMS rep, no joy, WMS are refusing to budge on the transfer!

However, Street have agreed to sell me a new policy, at a discounted rate, and Dave, whom I bought the car from, has kindly offered to go halves. Only downside is that I will be giving WMS more money, when they dont really deserve it. They probably read this forum & now I'm banned from taking out a warranty with them!

I'll just give them my name as being Peter Wheeler & I intend covering all known Cerbs on their warranty, that should send um skint :-)

Car Care Plan with mine. You can only purchase /renew through a dealer.
