Before I break out the spanners I'm looking for a spot of advice.

Getting everything off the engine to change the plugs doesn't look overly troublesome .... but is it?
Any words of wisdom from the more experienced out there?
I'd rather not fall into too many of the pitfalls if I can avoid it .... this car must get sorted, I'm missing my necessary fix!!

It's a 4.5 engined car that I'm replacing the plugs, leads and coil packs on.

Just done the same, I have a pretty comprehensive tool kit so I was ok ish!!! The biggest ball ache was having a thin enough plug socket, I even had to peel the stickers off mine, and enough articulation in your extensions, you need 3/8 drive to do this job. The coils are easy but you gotta take a lot of st off to get to em. Try and do it In a day rather than lots of Eve's , memory will be lots better..

Coil packs may not be easy - the bolts can seize in the rivnuts, and then the rivnuts will spin in place. Then you can't remove the plate on which the coil packs sit because they hide the plate fixing bolts. Time to get out the dremel.

When you replace the fuel rail make sure you have a supply of new injector seals, as they are easily damaged, and it's a difficult job to reseat the injectors.
