Recaro start question

Hi, it's a nice sunny morning and i'd like a ride to Southend with the mrs and daughter in the cerb. My problem is that I bought my recaro start around 6 months ago but I'm a bit worried about using it. It has fold in half storage feature on it but mine just folds with hardly any pressure, leaving me thinking my daughter will be folded each time I brake.
Maybe this normal and the seatbelt locks it in? Or is there a leaver that should enable it to fold which has broken?
Either way it I can't use it till I know ,so I'll just have to use the family wagon :-(

Nah, you're not missing anything. It just folds, no levers, etc...

If you are in a crash, the seat won't fold as it is clamped onto the seatbelt in the top corner.

You need to feed the setbelt through the red cylinder grip - and once your child is safely restrained you then need to revolve the red cyl thing and the black plastic collar lug / cam thing then moves out of the way and the red cyl then grips the seatbelt firmly. if you brake hard - the setbelt will be pulled forwards as gripped by the seat and the inertia reel should do it's thing
