Picking up my first Cerb tomorrow thanks for all the answers to questions the last few weeks. Not exactly great weather, think I will take it easy till its dry ! Look forward to sharing my stories in weeks to come and meeting some of you at Tvrcc or PH events. Open mind and hopefully not open wallet !
You lucky boy. No feeling like it apart from picking up my Harley after fighting with the wife for 15yrs to get one. I picked my cerb up for the first time from the main dealers many moons ago. I had never even driven one before. It really did feel like a supercar. To my embarrassment i took the car back after a couple of days as i was convinced the camshaft was knackered it was so noisy. Oh dont worry sir, they all do that. And he was right. Good job I didnt buy an early clatter cam cerb.

Funny, I remember travelling up on the train from the South Coast to Bromsgrove in the pissing rain to collect mine. Absolutely pooping myself about the monster I was about to take charge of. Drove sensibly home, in the rain, and it didn't put a wheel wrong. I think it was a great bonding session 
As said, take it easy at first. They will bite both experienced in inexperienced alike and there is plenty of summer to push the performance envelope in

I remember picking up my taimar. literally 2mins down the road i had the 'TVR grin'
Then i had a megane try to overtake after sticking up my cars rear.. well lets see what the Essex has... and never saw the megane again.
Now after just short of 2 years restoration Im using any excuse to go for a run and i absolutely love it :-D
just go steady and learn the car... But sayin that it doesn't mean in one day.

Thanks for all the advice. As I picked up the car the sun came out , so that was a good sign and made the drive home more fun. Can highly recommend the Guys at Castle in Stansted, car running sweet with good pressure. Initial impressions are......she doesn't like sitting in traffic , but does like going along the A130 at extremely high speed , my bottle and licence will go long before the car runs out of steam ! Also learnt that my car is in this months Evo magazine, which was a bonus. Look forward to the summer.....
