I am about to put leather on the doorpanels, and in the roof. So I wonder if it is possible to loosen the doorpanels eventually how, and take them off, it then would become much easier putting the leather on... Thanks

Once you get the door pannels off you can undo the sections that you are going to re trim. Its quite easy to re-trim the door panels and mine look miles better now. I take it that you replacing the tweed trim!

The roof I think you may find slightly more challenging. The front 3/4 I reckon that you should be able to re-trim. The back 1/4" by the rear window I cant't see a way of doing without taking the rear screen out.

Best of luck!

Yes I managed to do the re trim thanks to you guys, it was quite easy, the worst part was the rear part of the roof and the shelf behind the rear seats, but it become very nice....I will post some pics when it`s finished :-)

What did you use to stick the headlining and did you remove the tweed first or just stick it over the top?

How does the back piece of the rear seat come out? (I need to access the rear speakers)

The rear shelf? That won't give you access to the rear speakers but if you pull out the cubby hole, there are two bolts into each of the seats and a single bolt at the rear.

Yes I removed the tweed in the front part of the roof, I regret that because there is a layer beneath the tweed which didn`t came off that easy, eg some of the layer came off with the tweed and som was stuck in the roof, so the surface become a bit uneven... I let the tweed sit on the rear part of the roof and that became very nice, pics will come...
I used a spray can glue from 3M it was very easy to work with just spray on the surfacae and back of the interior, wait 10 seconds and then attach....

I used the same for my door trim and it doesn't appear to be the strongest of stuff. I'd be interested to hear how well it holds up after a few weeks.

Don't want to raise alarm bells but when I retrimed an Elise hardtop the spray glue wasn't strong enough to hold it in hot weather - heat melted the glue. Had to use a brush on glue that was much stronger (had to get the positioning right first time!).

I have used evo stick on mine. On a couple of little edges I did use a dob or two of super glue I must admitt.

Evo stick is not the nicest smelling though...
