Boot Gas Strut Cerbera

Hello i am serching for a new boot gas strut for my cerbera. Somebody here wrote that a a Golf Mk 4 strut should fit. I tried but it does not fit ...

Im from Germany so it is not easy for me to order it at Racing green or somethink else.. The shiping cost were muchmore higher than the struts :-(

Has someone an idea ??

Hi Rolf, I don't know, but could find out - I expect somebody will be along shortly with the answer though .

Whereabouts in Germany are you? I know someone who is driving a Cerbera over from the UK very soon.

18 for the stut and shipping is 20 GBP.. so not that cheap for me 60 euros for a boot strut !!!..

Does anybody knows a cheaper solution..

But thanks for the advice.. if i find no other solution i have to bite in the sour apple as we say over here :-D..

Surely you get a favourable exchange rate?? Surely if you import a rare car then you are going to have to pay for postage? We mostly are uk based owners and so won't have the same issues and therefore won't have the solution?

ha ha... you wouldnt belive it ... this is my solution at the moment :-D...

I hardly thought about a light aluminium strut as I have it at the bonnet...

I don't think cutting up a Morgan just for a boot repair would work out much cheaper to be honest.
