In a small garage you will need to be able to get the door fully open (or roll it out of the garage) in order to get the seat out of the car.
If the bolt heads turn in the runners when you try to undo them, you can either try to jam the head with a screwdriver which can be a struggle to reach both sides, or the simple way is to buzz the bolt off with an angle grinder and replace it.

Interested in this, my seat has a snapped bolster and does need a lot of TLC.I'll keep you posted. Need tp get it out and take it to my friend. Once he's sorted it I'll fill you in on all the details.

As said, best way to remove is just to cut the bolts off, the originals will spin in the runners and you'll faff around for ages trying to lodge something in there.
When you come to refit use high tensile allen cap head bolts, fitted down through the runners and through the floor. Cut an allen key down so it fits between the bolt head and the bottom of the seat.... Hey presto, no more faffing with trying to stop the bolt spinning.
Next time it needs to be removed, hardest bit will be finding your modified allen key

Angle grinders are for Luddites.
Mine was anchored by 4 x 13mm (1/2 AF) nut/bolt pairs. It's true that there is some long-armed fiddling required whilst trying to lock the seat-runner bolt head in place but it's easily doable.
Don't forget to find the LARGE washers that are on each side of the bodywork for each hole. They are sometimes painted or glued over and might drop off when you're not looking.
