I have noticed i have a crack at the base of the shock on the collar just below the thread section wanted to know if it is dangerous repairable and mot failure

If in doubt personally i would not drive it. Ask your self is it really worth the risk to cause more damage to the car if it does fail or even worse, It could be a MOT fail if it is dangerous.

Do you have any picture of the damage i am sure some one will be able to help you out on that one.

Any crack can't be good. Take them off and send them back to Nitron, I'm sure that they would want to investigate any possible failure.

I wouldn't drive anywhere on that. If that falls out you will be in a right pickle.

Never mind an MOT fail, they would probably issue a prohibition notice preventing you from using the car until it is repaired.
