Door adjustment
Discussion
Ok all need to adjust my doors, they need to come up a tad.Have found the bolts which hold door to main body,is there any adjustment here ,or do i have to remove the door panels and adjust in there. Not toooooo bothered if i do cos i can have a look at my slow drivers window while im in there.
Ok crew as there was little reply to this i thought i would post up what to do.
1.Check door for play on hinges as there are top hat bushes that can wear.
2.If there is no play as in my case you can adjust the door.to do this peel back the carpet that runs up to dash bottom.
3.Once carpet is clear look inside inner section and you will see 2 bolt heads which hold the lower hinge.
4undo both bolts and take the weight of the door untill door is in desired position, tighten bolts.this will take a few attempts and do everything slowly especially closing the door...just incase you have gone too far ....or not enough.
5check door for open and close operation from door switches,do this to make sure doors release properly.
6.Check contacts you can see while carpet is out and spray with desired electrical spray.
7.put carpet back and have a cuppa
8. HINT.to keep door steady or to lift get a trolly jack and a piece of batten.get the jack under the door you are working on and place the wood under the door lock meck?hook on the door.batten needs to be about 12 inches long...dependant on jack.

thanks for the info, did u happen to notice if u can adjust the closed position? would love my doors to close another 5mm.
Yes you can pull the doors in on the lock mech.i did pull mine in a tad just adjusted the whole lot with little tweeks. On thing i did do was put in a new passengers door rubber....this is well worth doing as it cut down wind noise and door opens much better.Hopefully will stop the leak from that area....lol i hope.
