Yes they are. Stainless inserts as far as I can tell. My experiments over the weekend with anodising some test blocks with and without helicoils in situ didn't seem to show any problems, but of course a commercial anodiser may be using a far harsher regime.
My conclusion was that I would go ahead and strip and re anodise mine with the helicoils in place. They are also reasonably hefty ones so any percentage erosion will be proportionally small. I would think twice about anodising anything with non-helicoil threads unless they were reasonably large >= M6. Fine/small threads might be more of a problem.

The anodize company i saw yesterday said about removing them, I may remove them as i have the insert tool and some M8 inserts, although can't remember what sizes the hubs are off hand without seeing mine. Think they will look good blue, so may just get the coils out and put new in seeing as they are being shot blasted so will need doing again.
