Evening gents, I would apreciate your thoughts on this,
A mate took my car for a spin tother day and commented on how easily it spins up and that a bit more squat might help her dig in a bit, fair enough, point taken and i do have to addmit she is a frisky old girl out back.
Had a little drive tonight and mmmmmm? it does squat but im thinking maybe she's hitting the bump stops and then lighting up???
The springs say 250/35 which if that pounds seems very light, and in the photo the spring looks almost bound.
Can anyone out there throw any light on what i have here???
Cheers :0)
Dont run em to low cos this in my opinion upsets the handling. If you are on a nice smooth track fine, but even then its a handfull. My front end shocks look a bit like yours ie springs look pretty compressed. If you can adjust the damper settings first as if the car is set very hard this can cause the said problem.do little adjustments at a time, and one thing at a time this way you can see what works.....but its a cerb and they are known for their booty action

If the damping is set too firm this can cause the back end to lose traction as Spongy says.
The other problem might be the differential, what type do you have? Mine is the standard LSD (not Hydragrip) and I think it is worn now as sometimes it locks well under acceleration giving me proper two wheel drive, other times it spins power away through the unloaded tyre.

Riude height should e around 135mm from the ground to the out riggers.
I think the standard springs are 400lb rear and 450lb front.
If run too low then you lose compliance in the car as the shocks do not have time to work before you hit the bumpstops.
Mine was onlty slightly lower than this until a few weeks ago and had similar problems, could chuck the rear end out at will raised it a bit an it has transformed the old girl, she was seriously quick round netterton on Sunday.
