A Good Cerbera

We tend to hear a lot of negative stories about our cars going wrong on here so here's the opposite.
Got the Cerb out for the first time this year to visit my Tuscan owning mate at Easter. I havent driven the car for six months. I did all the checks, oil, water, tyres etc and pressed the button.
Started first time as usual and ticked over nicely. Filled the old girl up with fuel, wife and luggage and set off a a 500 mile round trip. Went for a couple of great drives with two Tuscans
over the weekend before coming home. Plenty of hold ups on the M25, car was fantastic and didnt miss a beat, but then it never has. I dont think i would jump into an every day hack after six months and drive it away for a holiday without thinking about it, let alone a highly strung sports car. every switch, light and control worked. The weather was awfull on the way home, but the old cerb was a joy to drive. I did have thoughts of maybe changing to a Tuscan but when youve got a goodun would be daft to change it. What a great car.

What a nice story and i think your better with the Devil you know i know i felt this way after swapping my Chim for this Cerb. But after all my hard work i hope mine is as good as yours, Roll on summer

Its good to hear stories like this as you say. How did she go compared to the Tuscans? I will always have a soft spot for a Tuscan, true beauty but the Cerb was the car on my wall and the unique AJP sealed the deal.

Yep, great tale.

To add to it, since I had the Raceproved Slave put in mine has been a dream. Got caught in heavy, hot traffic last Friday and car did not miss a beat, drives beautifully and behaves immaculately. It was a joy to see the laughing faces in the car behind as I backed off from 40 or so to let a car come the other way with pops and bangs galore.

And to top it all it passed the MOT with flying colours on Saturday (as did the Chimaera), I got a good chance to have a thorough poke around and it's looking pretty good under there!

Ive had the cerb de-catted and got sports pipes. It made the Tuscans sound like a couple
of electric cars I drove my mates Tuscan and it was very nice. Performance wise i dont think theres anything in it. Well i found it easy to stay with them. I took one of the Tusn owners roun Bruntingthorpe in the cerb and he couldnt belive the way it pulled. My Tuscan owning mate had a go
in mine and still says he's never felt anything like it when he floored it in 3rd. They are both great cars and very fast. I liked the idea of getting the roof off in a Tuscan, but as i am lucky
enough to have a soft top Aston i suppose i have the best of both worlds plus there seems to be more
Tuscans around then Cerbs. The Tuscan didnt seem quite as hard core as my 4.2.
