Cerb cosmetic changes

Ok so Im a LONG way off being able to respray and change the look of my Cerb, but gotta have something to look forward to right??! I was on the site of an indy earlier and quite like the changes to a Chimp they did by basically grafting T350 headlights to replace the single lenses.

looks truly awful on a Chimaera, so my guess is it would equally as nasty on a cerebraThoughts for a Cerb?

Those are exactly the ones I want. But I might add an additional light to replace the low level indicator and mask it over. Side repeater will also go to be housed in the wing mirrors instead. Pic below is kinda my thinking to get an idea.But i wont have the side light
When I got my cerb, the really nice chap that sold it to me said he gets lots of people in looking to but a cerbera. But most of them then say, once they get one, the first thing they'll do is upgrade the lights and alloys. And he then said that it struck him as a bit odd that he never hears of anybody looking to buy an e-type turn around and say that the first thing they'll do when they get it is poke out it's eyes and chop off it's feet! Original, in whatever form the car rolled out of the factory in, is best?

Well to me the single headlight just doesn't look "aggressive" enough for a Cerb....these machines just scream "GET OUT OF MY WAY" as loud as possible....and the more aggressive headlights arrangement fit how I like it to look, with a couple of sympathetic alterations just to freshen up the front. Plus its a lot easier (and cheaper) to re-mold GRP than hand beaten metal panels, if you get it wrong and decide you don't like what you've done. :-)If I could have afforded a later model upfront I would have done!

It's hard to resist a few mods here and there though and newer lights definitely make it look more modern, but not better looking! If I could have afforded a later model upfront I would have done!

Agree with this, I have never seen a series 1 e-type with a series 3 headlight conversion because it would be worth half as much. Original Cerbs will be worth more in years to come.Who stole my indicators?

Apologies to the purists who I have the utmost respect for (and include a couple of friends from here), as mines a CAT D the resale value if I ever have to sell is 30-40% less than Gray's 50p, those guys with a good condition original car should see more value. So I'm all for experimenting with mine as and when I get the mechanics and structure sorted.
I kinda think the Chimp I posted at the start of the thread looks a bit Fiat Barchetta-esque, and that is thought of as quite a pretty car.
I guess modifying cars is something I just don't understand. Why is an early one only worth 50p? If it needs work why not restore to original?
To me modified cars should be left to boy racers with saxos.
