which batter

It fits ok, but there is no lip on the side near the bottom to bolt it down properly.

my existing one doesnt have it either and it doesnt move at all with out unscrewing the bracket

It's rock solid in the battery compartment with zero play, just no lip. I'm happy with it, I've had the cover off a few times since it was fitted and it's not budged. My car has a slightly higher compression ratio as well and it cranks fine from cold every time.

I went a bit OTT and went for a circular cell type (supposedly same as used in bowler wildcat), EXIDE MAXXIMA 900, starts 1st crank over every time. local battery center charged £140 cash, seen the same ones for over £200! Also has a 2 year warranty.

I'm using an 086 battery in mine. Fits perfectly and the Yuasa one I have is nearly 700A cranking current. It also has 5 year warranty!
