My windows have always been slow, iv had my car off the road doing lots of bits to it, Whilst the door cards are off i have cleaned up all connections, and greased the mechanism but the felt runner bits that sit in the metal channels to guide the windows look like they could do with being replaced.

So, has anyone replaced these before and know where i can get some or does anyone know what car they were originally of so i can get some from there.

Thanks

They just pull out of the channel and the new ones push in. You will find they make a huge difference to window speed. You can get them from any of the regular TVR parts suppliers or from a trim specialist like Woolies.

I did mine quite recently George got the rubbers from Racetech. You will need 2 metres for both sides. As a tip, use a little of the silicone spray to get the new rubbers into the channels.

I have the dash out of mine at the mo and there is a big clump of earths that are mounted behind the centre speaker section. The main earth then travels down under the bulkead to the front of the chassis, to the battery earth and engine earth. That wire on mine had become very briitle after years next to the exhaudt manifold to i replaced it, Hope this makes sence.
