Nitron's to invert or not to invert?
Discussion
My Nitron's are waiting for me getting home (7 more days
) I have used the search function to death on here to find out what the definitive answer. I can't find that much info on the subject so any pro's or con's of running them either way up?
I am running the Eibach springs if this has any effect on them. While on the subject, I it take the heavier pound spring is on the front of the car and the lighter springs to the rear?
Cheers Scott

Theoretically if you invert them there is less unsprung weight, however I don't think it is going to be much, and I doubt that anyone would ever be able to tell on the road anyway.
I tried mine both ways up and went with inverted because I found it easier to get to the adjusters when they are at the bottom. When sprinting I tweak them back and forwards a bit depending on surface and conditions so getting at them easily is key for me.

I would check with Nitron. You don't know the internal seal configuration, they might not be designed to run upside down.
I also checked, They are actually supposed to be inverted but most people fit them the 'normal' way up. They work just as well either way.As for access to the adjusters i find the fronts are easy from the engine bay.
Maybe i will upturn my rear 3-ways as these are more difficult to get at.

The Cerb has a panel in the engine bay so getting at them is a bit of a faf around i would think if they were that way round to adjust. But i can see why it is good for the chim.As for access to the adjusters i find the fronts are easy from the engine bay.
