I've got a blown rear shock. Is it more ecomnical to upgrade to shocks at this stage? I've no idea how much either option will cost. Any advice welcome, as would improved handling

I had a set of Nitrons fitted recently. I can't believe how much it has transformed the handling of my car. No more tramlining and it just drives over bumpy b-roads without being pushed off course. The car now feels how it should!

Upgrade. The TVR shocks are utter crap, and cost a fortune for what they are! Probably cost about 15 quid to make, and they charge over 200.

I replaced my broken rear shocker with a pair of AVO's. Lot better than the TVR ones. How about some Nitrons? I would have loved some, but couldn't afford them at the time. If you fancy some have a word with Joolz at Joospeed. Hes the man for them.

I drove round in my Cerb for about 18 months on the original shocks, tramlining all over the place and crashing over bumps, and then Dom at TVR Power told me that my shocks were worn out.

He said the difference to the car would be like "night and day" if I splashed out on a set of Nitrons. What he said, as does Rjben (above), is spot on - I would go for them first over any chip upgrades or NOS kits, it totally transforms the car.
