It wasn't cheap but compared to a full retrim I think it's good value for money and will give it a modern feel. I did want it covered in real carbon but then I found these guys and they are local to me. I think I'm the first to have a painted dash? Without sacrificing quality or it looking like bob the builder did it.

It's called carbon dipping, panel is painted black, then dipped into a tank with a special carbon film and then laquered, I think lol

Does this Carbon coating go on over the existing leather/vinyl cover?? or is it removed, sanded painted then dipped? I can't quite work it out, certainley looks good.

I guess it's the same local company that we use to do some dash panels at work. I saw a sample the other day in the office and it looks quite convincing.

No unfortunately it doesn't go over the leather. I had to remove all of the leather, foam and glue residue and then spent 3 days in the body shop prepping it ready to give to the company. I thought because it was fibreglass it wouldnt take long to prep but there were so many imperfections lol, seemed to take forever lol

That dash would be better suited to maybe a car with more of an orange theme i think....yours would look better with the dash i have in mine....i think that will transform the interior budbow

Thankyou, my original interior was magnolia with red piping but iv now fitted black s2000 seats. The grey was just highbuild primer but yes i agree that would suit an orange cerb

thats hydrographics, its a printed vinyl which when placed in water seperates from the film and lays on the water, then the parts are dipped in it. then clear coated on top, should last a life time, but if done wronf, the pattern stretches.

that looks fab though fair play

Is that a similar tech to the waterslide transfers you get/got in plastic kits?
