Interior - part-retrim
Discussion
Peeps,
Anyone know of a decent company on or near the South Coast (Bournemouth) who undertake full & part-retrim for Cerberas?
Alternatively, somewhere with clear instructions as to how to replace part panels (such as the driver's arm rest on transmission tunnel), and where to obtain the correct colour leather?
There are 2 or 3 of the leather panels which could do with replacement, and I want to get this sorted before the Quay for my Car event in July.
Thanks

I got all my leather from UK Hide, www.ukhide.co.uk superb quality and very reasonably priced compared to other leather merchants. If you search in the Cerbera forum I have given details on removing most of the interior at one time or another.
However to be honest unless you have done upholstery before I wouldn't recommend a Cerb interior as a first project unless you have a lot of time to read up on technique and practice. To get the drivers arm rest off to cover, you need to remove or at least detach and lift the entire centre console.

Just visited K Baggs Trimming for a quote on the Cerb.
Apparently it's only half hide, the rests is fake leather (vinyl). Anyway to retrim both seats in full leather to match, is £2000+vat. Alternatively to replace all of the perforated leather front and back, inc the transmission tunnel, is £1600+Vat. A steering wheel recover is £250+vat.
Sounds like a lot of money to me.....I booked her in anyway as the waiting list is huge, the earliest week I could get in is the week prior to Quay for my Car in Poole.
Commentsq on pricing?

I used th eguy that advertises in Sprint mag, AJ Trimming in Bourne End in Bucks, top job done and a lot closer to the south coast than Blackpool.
That said DC in Blackpool really know their stuff, seen some of their work and it has to be said I was very impressed. I have seen several cars in STR8SIX being stripped out and the interiors sent up to DC then a week later the bits come back and get re-fitted, all while the car was in for a service or other work so less time off the road and a top job done at the same time.
