Dirt cheap Cerb on eBay!

Bad times to sell, although these cheaper cars will fall in to the wrong hands, get trashed, not looked after etc, numbers will decline and the prices of the good cerbs will go up , fingers crossed!
So would you say the difference between god cerbs and bad cerbs will become greater in time?(ie making finding a good one easier)
I can only imagine that the lesser cars will get to the stage of 'beyond economical repair' , a lot of cars now with blown engine/ badly corroded chassis are been stripped for parts . The better cars that have more careful owners who keep on top of the maintenance are likely to stay that way, I recall this happening with cosworths years back when prices fell, cars were bought up by every boy racer going and they seemed to disappear , then prices started going back up...
Just can't imagine buying a car as special as a Cerb on eBay ! As far as I'm concerned the best cars will always be for sale on here ! And any genuine buyer would have been on here and learnt the same thing ! eBay is the place for bargains and people prepared to take more of a risk ...... IMO
IMHO it doesn't metter a Toss.
With every vehicle there will be a difference in price depending on the condition.
There was a brief period, after the factory closed, when people kidded themselves that they had a collectable classic but there are so many ultra high-performance cars on the market at ever-decreasing prices that we just own gorgeous high-performance timepieces.
Enjoy them for what they are. Keep 'em in the best condition that your wallet and patience can afford and they will hold the higher end of their own price market.
Job done !
( and if you're really sensible, keep her 'til you die)
I went to see one at then end of last year that was advertised at 14,000. When I looked it over, it was in such a decrepit condition that I offered him 4,000. s
te Car, s
te Price !
I've done evrything to my car. If I were to put it on the market I would advertise it for £20K.
I'd probably get no offers and I wouldn't give a Toss !
I'd be really happy to keep her !

So a labour of love.
Key words here very much so.Car roughly 7k
Engine rebuild/refresh appx £5k
Chassis repairs appx £1k
Headlight change appx £1k
Respray appx £4k
parts/upgrades appx £4k
Is it worth £22k?
No chance.
Add in CAT D to its previous life and I'd be lucky to see £13k back.
Do I WANT to spend all this on a car I adore...
HELL YES!
Resale value has almost no bearing to what I want from this car.
