So, some of you may have seen my threads re the chassis corrosion and decision to go body off to fix up the chassis.
Im a little bit betwixt and between whether to keep the car off road until next year and get the entire car resprayed, or put her back together when the chassis/suspension is sorted and get the full respray done later.
I know that whilst the body is separated from the chassis this will aid the respray, but can a full colour change (blue to black) be adequately undertaken with body on....or will any decent paint shop take the body off anyway??

There's absolutely no need to take he body off the chassis to do a colour change, I did one on mine last year.
However, you will need to remove doors, bonnet, boot lid etc and break them down (doors into three pieces etc, etc. Therefore, if you're already close to that then maybe it's worth doing it now.
If you do it now though, I would definitely get the body tub back on the chassis before painting it. The last thing you want to do is risk damage or stress cracks on your mint shell.
