Watch wheeler dealers a few weeks back and take notice of the engine cleaning machine that is or will soon be available to clean the engine internals.seems like a good idea .....or is it,would love to get the cerb done but in your views could this cause problems with our ajp units.the cleaning put the emissions way down when re-checked,mine were high on the last mot.....it did pass through a none tvr garage but just,so would love to get it lowered before next mot.I can see it cleans all or most of the carbon deposits from engine but if the engine has wear does the carbon help keep things together as to speak.I only say this because many moons ago i did an engine flush which did the job....but the engine did sound noisier after it was done.The episode was the jag xkr makeover,worth a watch....just interested in your views as normal 
I also saw the episode and thought it was an excellent piece of equipment, did wonders on the jags emissions. As for on the AJP i'm not really sure, if i was to have it done i would insist on having a fan blowing cool air into the engine as it has to stand still at a certain rpm to work.
