A couple of questions.....
Firstly, dose anyone know if the supply to the little orange LED's next to the window switches is 12 volts? I am Putting blue LED's in my dials and am going to change these to green to match all the other switches.
Secondly, blue LED's for the dials. I have seen numorous pictures on here but with mixed results. I believe the water temp/oil pressure guage needs to be a wide angle type or it will be too dull? Same for the speedo? Who is happy with there results and what LED's did you use? Pictures welcome. :-)

I have the RS Components part number for the window switch LEDs at home, I will put it in the equivalent parts thread this evening. They are available in various colours and do not need any additional resistor. If you want green ones I may even have a couple left from when I did mine.

Depends on your level of fussyness
Here's my first attempt

you'll see the speedo and oil/temp gauge is not as bright as the rest.
This is as close as I could get to uniform brightness..

It took a combination of hyper bright, Ultra bright and wide angle to achieve this, anal I know
To give you some idea, I had to crush a standard incandescent and use the base to solder in a led
I'd found that different manufactures produced leds with different hues, the ones that sold the bayonet type didn't sell the wedge type
It's been a while now..I think I only used one led of a possible two in the rev counter

Yes the orange LEDs near the window switches are supplied with a 12v supply. I changed mine for blue LEDs . I ordered a set of 10 3mm with resistors for about £1-2 as I changed the light on/off switch at the same time.
Just soldier a resistors onto the positive of the led, hot glue gun them in and hey presto
