Hi All,

Ok, here comes a rather vague description but would be interested if anyone has any ideas /suggested areas to look at.....

Ok, so driving my Cerb normally....come up to a roundabout at slow speed, start going round (again at slow speed) and suddenly there's an intermittent groaning noise from the rear end - sort of like the noise a sea lion kind of makes if that helps....it seems to be coming from the nearside rear and only happens when turning right so I' guessing lateral weight transfer is playing it's part. I've had her up in the air, wheels off, levered on various joints and all seems firm/secure.....could it be a diff bearing?.....I'll probably hand her over to Austec to have a look but wondered if there was anything obvious I could check for first.

Thanks,
Mike

You sure it's not the bootlid seal?

I had a the Sea lion issue, sounds identical. It was the anti roll bar bushes. Easy fix. Sea lion and car now doing well. Sea lion seen in natural habitat splashing around and hunting fish, Cerbera growling up and down dual carriageways looking for porkers....

HaHa ....am liking the comments....and yes, thoroughly agree, far too many mistakes made lol....but thanks for the thoughts.....will test out the anti-roll bar bushes and hopefully release another seal back to its native habitat smile

It is probably a grommet (a small rubber seal)

I've had a similar noise occasionally but when parked up also. Short groaning noise that goes on long enough not to be a bush etc.

Could he the purge can venting? Not sure what else it could be as it's unlikely to be the fuel pump.
