Most of you won't know that I run a vinyl wrapping company.
Someone has approached me asking for idea's on how to cover stone chips with something to hold off the inevitable respray.
The problem? is that the Cerb in question is Yellow..... I'm coming up blank, other than having a greyscale union jack draped over the area's that need covering up - anyone got any bright ideas ?
Thanks

I have been toying with the same idea, only the whole car done 'special' as opposed to just the front.. Problem is the heat from the bonnet, it shrinks vinyl.Someone has approached me asking for idea's on how to cover stone chips with something to hold off the inevitable respray.

Heat doesn't shrink vinyl (well, not good quality vinyl), it will make it go rubbery, and in prolonged heat (getting the surface of the vinyl to over 100 degrees c) will eventually burn holes in it. Never heard of any issues of it shrinking with heat on car though?
I went to a place in Germany (CFC) last year, and they took the temperature of the bonnet after a nice Autobahn blast.. they said the Vinyl would shrink deform and lift at the edges of the bonnet, therefore wouldn't do it.. might have had something to do with the Spitfire look I wanted... Probably, need to change to an original bonnet to do..

Hi Olly... I have since phoned these people and left a message... I need a respray but am now going to ask about a complete vinyl wrap in either carbon fibre or matt metallic grey. My Cerb is currently silver so wouldn't be too far off.Someone has approached me asking for idea's on how to cover stone chips with something to hold off the inevitable respray.

I also live in Ashford... I think they can cut me a good deal being a new company!
