Following on from Olly's 'NOSE JOB' topic... I have started this new thread.

I have a silver Cerb with deep red interior (Red / Grey)

I need some advice.. I want a carbon fibre wrap and have spoken to Olly today regarding this as we both live in Ashford!!

Can you let me know your thoughts on what would work with a red interior... my thoughts are carbon fibre with bright red spider alloys... Round headlights up front too, not the Tuscan style (as per my previous thread)

Any thoughts on whether this will devalue my car (bought for £5400)
Any thoughts on alternative schemes?

I am not sure carbon fibre will work. Rarely looks good IMHO. There was a matt black cerb but it didn't look good in photos.
Regardless though I think wheels should be silver, black or anthracite. Not red.

Gazza... What do you think then... matt silver grey? Yellow? Union jack flag?

I just think a cerb has quite a round and curvy shape and cf is best on angular cars IMHO.
I like silver cerbs but I'd go with some accents to make it meaner... Maybe cf wing mirrors, black / anthracite wheels, stubbier and larger tail pipes.
If your paint needs attention then spend money on paint or go for a classier colour eg black, white, orange or grigio....!
If you want bling then go mirror reflective! All IMHO

The lacquer is peeling on the roof and the bonnet is stone chipped. The drivers door has a 'spit mark' down it, the boot has some chips... etc! The respray will cost £2k, the wrap, just over a grand!! I don't have to go CF but I think it'll be HARD! A Hard Bxxtard's car. The red wheels would just set it off... I wanted orange but they'd clash with the interior. What about gloss black or silver then?

Hi Steve, I was thinking of this and, rather than a complete cover, I thought of angular shapes randomly wrapped. Like full boat sails in contrasting colours. I have Moonraker Black so thought of silver, carbon and red.

You could use red, black and silver for example.

Just random thoughts but would be very interested in Olly's reaction to the idea and possibility. ??

A wrap is a great idea to tide you over in place of a respray, but bear in mind that if your paint it that iffy, you will have no choice but to respray when the vinyl comes off as it sounds like it will take the laquer with it!

It is your car so obviously you can do what you like with it, but seeing as you asked for opinions... Fake carbon fibre should be confined to the "Lax Power" brigade - it has no place on a car like a Cerbera unless it is the real thing and is actually saving weight. No matter what the quality of the vinyl or transfer or whatever - you and everyone else will know that at the end of the day it is pretending to be something it isn't.

How about a chrome wrap if you want something really eye catching? rotate Can you get flip colour vinyl?

Pearlescent white?
Will a wrap cover the imperfections of paint? I was told that the surface has to be good as the vinyl would still show craters where clearcoat had gone. confused

Bright orange with the dukes of hazard style stickers 'glue' the doors shut. Power bulge and some air horns.

There was a carbonfibre-wrapped Cerb at ROAR 2010 and I thought it looked superb up close. From a distance it looked matt black though which I wasn't so keen on.

White wrap with black or shadow chrome spiders will look good and go with your interior.
