Gone! (To a new home up North)
Discussion
So, the money is in the bank, I can hear the car being valetted and V8 LMP is off up North over the weekend to her new home in S.Yorks.
Just been serviced and MOT'd and will have 12 months road rent on the screen tomorrow. I can't wait to be honest. The car covered just 1300 miles (I think) last year and I can't do her justice. Craig is the sort of chap who is going to drive it and use it I hope. He certainly sounds keen enough! I won't have to walk past her each morning as I mount the stairs to my office whilst she sits there quietly doing nothing except mechanically seething with inactivity and making me feel guilty as sin.
Such a fantastic car, such an iconic car and one that I have loved and cherished since 2004 and covered 22000 very happy miles in. From the wipers refusing to turn off all the way across Belgium (simple park switch, but bloody annoying!)to the clutch failing completely just as we are leaving my brother in law's house in Northern Ireland to catch a ferry home to Devon (X5 at short notice and returned on a trailer a week later, towed behind the trusty Rangey) it's been a ball.
Apart from those two incidents, the car has performed faultlessly to and from the 'Ring, Le Mans (several times) and all over the country. A better Cerb you will never find.
Regret selling it? Definitely. Miss it? Definitely.
Was it the right thing to? Definitely. Only 1300 miles in 12 months of Cerbera ownership should be a criminal offence!
Craig look after her, but most of all enjoy her FULLY!
