Most Race Cerberas On A Grid This Weekend!
Discussion
This weekend the TVR Challenge will be taking place at Brands Hatch.
I have some great news in that, three....yes three TVR Cerbera race cars will be on the grid in the TVR Challenge at Brands Hatch this weekend! We will be there with the TVR Power 4.7 Cerbera, John Wilson will be there in the 4.7 Cerbera and Jamie Golby in his 6.2 Chevy Cerbera. I cant remember three Cerbs ever being in the same race... It will be great to hopefully see us all show a clean pair of heels to the Tuscan race cars!
For Cerbera V8 Racing it will be a very busy weekend as we have entered two of the race series that weekend. Both the Eurosaloon championship and the TVR Challenge. With the added excitment of one of the races being back to back! SO a 20 minute eurosaloon race directly followed by the first of the 20 minute TVR Challenge races! It will be quite a challenge....
We will be running the fresh engine in during qualifying but im still quite confident we will be at the sharp end.
So if your a Cerbera fan there is no better place to be this weekend than at Brands Hatch!!
Cheers

Well sorry but ended up bailing out in the end - when the Euro race got moved to the morning it essentially meant coming just for the 1 race in the end. Given had kids in tow decided was a lot of driving just for that... so we went out for lunch
. Updates look like day is going well.. just waiting to here about the final TVR race.
. Updates look like day is going well.. just waiting to here about the final TVR race.Well what a hectic weekend!!
In qualifying we were running the fresh engine in and had some electrical issues meaning we had to start from the back of the grid in both the TVR Challenge and the Eurosaloons.
Race One was in the Eurosaloons: We started from 27th and were up to 8th by lap 5! However the race was then Red flagged due to a big shunt. I think we could have won this race if it had gone full distance.

Race 2 was on Sunday morning in the TVR Challenge. As i drove the car to the grid i felt the car missfire heavily. Unfortunately this didnt clear up and we were left running on 6 cylinders all weekend! Looking at the data logger we were under 300bhp..... But hey I love a challenge! You can see the difference in straight line speed!

Race 3 was back to back with race 2 so no time to check anything straight back out onto the grid! We were 12th on the grid for this one and if only we had had full power!! A totaly amazing race though!

Race 4 was the last race of the day. Starting from pole. Great to have 2 Cerbs on the podium!! Well done John!

All in all a good fun weekend of racing. Dissapointed we couldnt show the full potential of the car (we were around 3 seconds per lap slower than normal). The eurosaloons race was probably one of the most intense races i have had, I was so pumped after! Very unusual for me to get that exited as you can hear on the video!!
Thanks to everyone who came to see us!
Cheers
