V458 FOT (eBay) any knowledge?
Discussion
I am in the market for another Cerb and this one has caught my eye. I noticed its been up for a while, and I dont really know why. I have emailed the seller, came straight back with the right answers. Seems to be a good deal. I know the colours wont be popular, very conservative, but I like it.
Does anyone have any history on the car? I understand its been on PH for a while.
Well heres the link

Previous owners all PHer's, greenm and thegreengoblet (he bought it from new then bought it back again, he liked it so much
)
I would not say its been up for sale for long just over a month, had loads of interest, 4 people currently want it but all need to sell their current cars, which i am not interested in taking in p/ex.
Had a couple of dealer offers as well, but i am in no rush to sell, in fact i don't really want to let it go (planned on being a keeper), but i have 5 cars at the moment and a third child on the way, so its going to get less and less use..
As for the chassis it's in great condition, touched up if needed every year by my indie, outriggers all good etc, everyone who has viewed has liked it...
Let me know if you need any more detail...

Externally very nice. Not sure I could live with "'John Major" interior though.
Hey.....! I picked everything on that car! Took around 1/2 day at the dealers spec'ing her up. She went without nothing and the dealer said she was the most expensive one he had ever sold.Indeed, I owned her twice with a gap of 3 or 4 years and 2 further owners in between. Would love to own her again - giving birth to her and all that, but alas I have a wife and 3 young kids that won't let me

Why - is grey leather more expensive than black, or cream or red ?(
If you chose it, you must like it. No complaints there.
Personally, I hate grey interiors especially on Cerbs where there is so much leather - as it were..
If we were all the same the world probably would never have seen a TVR born in any form !

No of course not. Just making a statement about the car in general - I got carried away with the options list and bespoke changes to remove the carpet coverings in the ashtray area and helmet hole. (Carpet on panels in a 50 grand car....
please)I don't like dark interiors and so the 2 tone grey sat nicely against the rosso pearl and burgandy head lining (red being my fav colour) - well the grey looked much better than the tan anyway. The ivory dials on brushed aluminium suited the grey - I didn't like the wood in what's basically a spaceship styled cockpit. And I finally managed to source a red sub for the helmet hole for the dealer to fit with the bespoke factory helmet hole covering to complete the contrasting colours.
Not only was it unique, it looked the nuts as well as far as I was concerned.
