Should the mil light be on if the air boxes are off ?

If you have disconnected the airflow sensor mounted on the nearside of the air filter cover then yes is the answer i took my air filter/cover and hoses off yesterday to get the F1 panel off and ran the engine to get the water up to temp and the MIL light came on as soon as i fired her up.
