Off to the Leman classic in the morning, attempted to get out of the car last night only to find the door button not working. Thankfully the external switch still works on the mirror and the emergency T handle works!
Sadly I'm too lardy to squeeze through the open window like the Dukes of hazzard!
I've disconnected and re-connected the large block connector on the window control box and checked the wiring through behind the panel, which are still clean/dry and good after the last problem due to them laying in the water at the bottom of the door. The interior door switch works reliably once the door is open. So I would discount the switch itself. Any ideas??????

Almost certainly the connectors inside the door rather than the switch.

Thank you Peter, I will take the door panel off again and squint a little harder!! Has your beast fired into life yet, or is his heart still bolted to the engine stand?

Hi Mark

Have a good poke around inside the door - there always seems to be one more connector than you think possible. It really is worth replacing them all with properly waterproof ones when you can. It solved my door and window problems permanently.

The engine is back in and most of the engine bay plumbing is done. Still need to fill it and bleed it and probably prime the oil pump externally. After that I just need to put the fuel tank back and the interior back in and I will be there!
