Sorry guys (and girls), sure this has been done before but no joy with a search so:

The radio reception in the Cerb is pretty awful. Where/what is the aerial (if original)? My car has a bells and whistles hi-fi as fitted by the previous owner, but obviously not a bells and whistles aerial! music

Thanks

If it has DAB from the factory you should have a roof ariel (see my profile pic) This give excellent FM reception but crap DAB reception!

Sadly no factory DAB in 1999, old fashioned AM/FM only.

The roof ariel gives excellent FM reception. I also have a GPS Ariel for the Sat Nav which sits on the shelf where the top mount of the rear seat belts are, this gets excellent GPS signal. Might be a good place to mount a FM ariel

a) Force aerial up in one of the rear quarter pillars.
b) Put aerial into rear wing.

Best using an aerial amplifier and make sure you have a good ground connection.

The original aerial is the heated rear screen element. I had a DAB radio fitted by Carl Baker, the aerial is hidden inside the rear 3/4 pillar, or it can be placed above the rear wheel arch on the inside so also out of sight. Reception is perfect.
