When almost coasting at about 2k, the engine seems to miss, feels slightly jerky, and is a bit hesitant to pick up. Over 2.5k it's fine. What do I need to change? Leads are old, plugs and cheap coil packs are 9 months old. Anything else it could be?

TIA

Assumng all other contributors have been addressed then a remap will normally reduce this. Most cerbs have a slight hesitation.

I don't remember it running so unevenly a few months ago, so I reckon something is failing. I am also booked in to see Jools, so I want the car running as well as possible so he can work his magic.

I have just had something similar sorted and it was due to over fuelling caused by a dodgy temp sensor

Slack/wear in the throttle linkage can cause this, or if the banks are not balanced. Having said that, mine suffers from this and I cannot get rid of it no matter what I try. Maybe time for a re-map......

I thought this was just a well known engine characteristic - nearly all Cerbs are lumpy around 2k. Mine was a little but not too bad.

I'm sure you can make them better with mapping but never rid of it.

If it picks up with a bit of throttle then it could be the banks are out of balance or a lambda problem. Or noisy throttle pots. The diagnostic s/w would help. Don't discount HT leads or coil packs. Helpful eh? smile
