Took the Cerbie out on Friday night after giving her a good wash and wax and she won't rev past 5K. She ran fine before the wash but now justs won't go past 5K. It feels like the engine justs cuts out so I back off on the throttle, change up and shes fine below 5K. This will suit the wife but not me. Please help! Any ideas will be welcome.

Maybe some water has tracked its way down to the ECU...

Open it up and let it dry out....

the ecu is in the passenger footwell behind the fibreglaas panel. just lift up the front of the carpet, pull the bottom of the panel and push the top of the panel forward and it drops under the bottom of the dash. It's a little more difficlt to put back.

You could also have water in your coils because they have little dishes on the top which collect it. check all the connections and dry them out . it may help
