Since friday, every time i go out in the Cerb it takes a good 20 minutes before the speedo and milometer decide to work! I don't think it's just coincidence that i was 3 miles off clocking 30,000 when this strange phenomenon started, so i hope things will sort themselves out by themselves, unless anyone knows of a quick simple fix?

If the mechs turn around and say you require a new one, give me a shout, I'll put you in touch with a full electronic aftermarket jobbie... and someone who can make a yellow backplate for it too.....
Built in lap-timer and logger, all for measly pennies.... will fit straight into the originals slot.... and keep the current bezell....

Indeed it can It happened to me before when i clocked 26k, but rather than keep coming on and off again, it simply stayed off for a long while then came back again

If you want to have a crack at it yourself, you could remove the big leather clad pod, and do a little DIY on the speedometer?

I'm pretty sure I saw a post either on here or someones site in respects to stripping the instrumentation panel.....

Remember to take pics of everything if you attempt it, or you might end up with a bag of nuts and a floating instrument pod....

Some tips I heard of are:

1. reverse for about 100m it should click back and then work OR
2. wallop the top of the dash it should free it up OR
3. On your local airfield get to 120mph, turn in very sharply to a left hander and then floor it. Get the back end right out and drift until you can taste the rubber.

I hear 1 and 2 work - 3 has no effect on the speedo whatsoever but its a hell of a lot of fun
