Now, I really don't want this thread to contravene the advertising in the forums rule. I'll try to be careful. I have a fully refurbished steering rack for a Cerb sitting in front of me. It has the pipes, but no rod ends or bump stops.

I intend to advertise it on here (in the correct section obviously) and perhaps ebay. I know Douglas Valley want loads for a used one, so how much should I ask for mine?

OK - I think you'll need to say who as there are two main co's - one has a good rep the other not, IMHO.

I need one and I don't know how much they cost so if you throw a figure in the air - not as an advertisement of course, but you will then be helping a fellow PHer understand what the marketplace price is likely to be

RG cars price is £360 ex-VAT and £500 surcharge.
I make that a max. value is £432 to someone with a rack that needs refurbing or £1032 outright.

I'd say about 200 quid plus the cost of the rebuild, given I bought a used low mileage rack for 200ish not that long ago.

I bought one for £120 on eBay, it needs a refurb I guess. Thought I paid too much as i'd watched others go for less.

Don't know, but I'd bet my mortgage that a Griff one will and if they are interchageable Cerb/Chim/Griff then mine is suddenly £999 hehe
