Does any one know where to get one. Most sources so far have none and say very rare. Mine has started rounding off when trying to undo.

Or of I cant source a new one if someone has a spare that they can tell me the thread type size etc I can make one or enquire about getting some made as a group buy or something

Thanks Peter

Andy at APM put a new one in for me from the modern French engines (but I'm pretty sure that he cut a new thread).
It is a countersunk allen type.
I would recommend contacting him for advice

Yep that will work nicely, just need to borrow a ramp and welder, shouldn't be an issue, have an idea whom may be able to help me.

This is what I found in mine.

Looks like 18tpi and about 16mm, but I'm not sure what thread that makes it.

Yours looks like its a cut down bolt? Looks like hacksaw marks on the end?

Indeed it is, and I'd like to replace it with a proper magnetic sump bolt. I think this is what I need, but it's a little pricey!

Think although expensive for what it is. Long term worth it

I think it's 5/8" UNF which is 18tpi and 15.875mm, which is closer to the bolt I removed than 16mm.
