If only I could get my insurance that cheap...
I had quotes ranging from £1k - £3k
Ended up getting it for £1k.

I'm 30 no claims/convictions live in London and have an underground garage. Car is 2001 4.5RR (Less than 6k miles per year).

Before I got mine I saw a few threads like this in the forums and thought I would be able to get insured quite cheaply...

It seems to make a load of difference where you live!!

Anyone in London get a quote for less than £1k?

Live in Sussex, insure with Direct Line, 3000 miles pa, 2 drivers, £550. Direct Line & Tesco insurance are one and the same (tho' I found that DL was slightly cheaper than Tesco's). Havent even thought of asking DL about track cover yet, not looking forward to that conversation, but not worrying about it until I find the time and bravery to go on a track day (did a few in the Griff, along with the Brighton Speed Trials....hmm, anyone fancy meeting up for the Speed Trials this year? Or even participating?Normally September time, if memory serves me right)

Nick

NB May have to up my limited mileage, done more than half the allowance in the 1st 6 weeks

I recently took out insurance with A. Manning and on same terms as you but also garaged = £555. I tried to barter for better price but they wouldn't budge.

Interestingly, I'm 39, in Devon with a 99 4.5 paying Direct Line exactly the same. I believe Tesco use Direct Line.

My 4.0 Chim was the same too, just had to pay £10.5 admin fee to change the car on the policy.

I believe Tesco & Direct Line are both owned by Royal Bank of Scotland, hence they both use the same format for their web sites.

Just getting some quotes for the Cerb I am looking at and thought I would post the replies so far.

28 yo, 1 claim = accident (only me involved). Thames Valley, 10k miles and driveway kept.

Direct Line = £1100
Tesco = £1400
Endsleigh (cheapest for my BMW) = £1700
A1 (advertised as TVR friendly) = £2200

Still hoping for a <£1k quote but think I am dreaming.
