correct fuel pump relay 4.2
Discussion
It is not a standard automotive relay (at least my local auto electrical place did not have them and it was not in any of their catalogues).
It is a relay used in a Land Rover as part of the immobiliser system. It differs from the easily available relays as the main circuit is live when the relay is not powered.
Part codes:
AMR1088
V23134-M52-X186
Should be available from the likes of Rimmers or Famous Four.
Good Luck,
Matt

Interesting. Mine is an early car 97 4.2 AJP. The relay is the only brown one in the fusebox.
You can clearly see from the diagram on the relay that it makes the main circuit to pump when there is no power to the feed terminal. This confused me for a few mins when I was tracing a wiring fault (back to front from any other relay I have used).

I'll have to defer to you as I am no auto electrician.
The 'expert' guy in the auto electrical supplies place I went to could not match the relay which iirc (need to check this) is a twin make with a resistor. We both went through his catalogues and there was nothing identical. Both circuits are used according to Cerb wiring diagram.
Curious now so will try and double check this when I get a chance.

Given the vagaries of TVR its entirely possible that we have different relays. TVR Power (and others) list a fuel pump relay that is definately not a standard one - it has a couple of small extra pins on the base for a start. However my brown relay is a standard five pin base and prising the cover off the layout seems to me to be a single pole change over relay with a diode across the coil.
