I have just had my little Cerb set up and corner weighed by Top Cats

Total weight of 1249kg with half a tank of fuel and full fluids, definitely not the heaviest Cerb around and not so different from other early Cerbs ('96 4.2 before topcats work)

Weight bias comes up as 54% front vs rear

Still not had mine dynoed yet but has felt nice and healthy every time I go for a drive biggrin

Mine was 1238kgs, 51% front.
I have ditched the heavy seats and have track ones in, so maybe 11xxkgs??

Honestly didn't think it was that heavy, I'm sure I read somewhere of a standard AJP with more than mine.

Mine is somewhat different to yours, there was I think someone with an another 96 cerbera AJP8 that was ~1220 so not that much different from normal (unless the driver was sat in that one)

Had have heard the standard seats are heavy, was your weighting before or after seat removal, I think I remember you having the Tuscan seats?

It has AC... how much would that be worth 5+ kg?

There is also the dry sump system installed as well.

Still the lightest car I own smile

Yep, mine has an LS7.

Mine is not quite as tasty as Brummmies hp wise but is pretty much eaxctly what I wanted for my own car.

My Cerb is a bit chunky as it weighs in at 1262kg, but I can't remember how much fuel it may have had in it. I think the other reason it's a bit heavier than some is because it has had just about every part of it's body smashed and repaired during it's life so, I think this adds weight. (Not all during my ownership). I don't know what it weighed before the LS3 conversion.

If my car had 100hp then I would be concerned but an LS engine covers over the difference, unless we are talking about squeezing 10ths of seconds of performance.

I've always wanted to replace my extremely heavy grp bonnet with a carbon fibre one. Painted, of course.

Recap: Mine's 1262kg.

Cool, I was hoping to see some other ppl post their weights as I had a good idea how much brummies weighed which aside from the other Top Cats Cerbs it would be good to see where they all weigh in at.

I wasn't actually complaining about how heavy the car was the tongue out and smilie and contents of the post were a little tongue in cheek...

I actually think that 1249kg is quite a good weight considering the addition of the TKO box.

Public weighbridge, eg the tip. But if you want the split you need corner weights.

Wow - I am surprised that the difference between Cerb/Chim is so much... eek

Had my Chim weighed with all fluids and 1/3rd tank of fuel = 1080kg exactly...

Thought the Cerbs were only about 40-50kgs more...

More chassis/fibreglass/glass..?

Total 1235

(3/4 tank of fuel)

Though I expect that will have changed a bit now due to the chassis refurb.

Are these weights including the driver?
The last time I had a race car corner weighted I had to sit-in to get everything balanced.

I can imagine that could account for the 100KG differences biglaugh

I guess I'll find out on Poole Quay tonight ..... in this blazing sunshine .......
