Nearly 3 weeks and about 300 miles so far and I'm loving the Cerb, so time for some thoughts...

Best drives have been the times I've taken it to work, 30 miles of cross-country A road that I know well, although I've discovered overtaking places that I would never have considered in my Accord diesel company car wink
It's not too bad in the twisties, so long as it's dry, but I think it would benefit from a suspension/tyre upgrade, rear feels a little soft at the moment, and the bump steer takes a bit of getting used to, but then you're always travelling quicker than you think!
It certainly demands respect in the damp. I drove in one morning last week when it was slightly moist taking it fairly easy, then i came off an island with a nice straight, slightly uphill stretch ahead of me....obviously I couldn't use much second gear so short-shifted into 3rd and slowly started pressing the accelerator down, the wheels started spinning at 60-70 before I'd got anywhere near full-throttle nuts crazy!

The funny thing is, the more I get used to it, the faster it seems to feel, thought it would be the other way around, although I've never owned anything like this before, not even a hot hatch.

And it's LOUD, in a good way. Everyone was at the windows at work the first time I drove it in, but then I did show off a bit, couldn't resist blipping the throttle a few times, been a bit more circumspect since then.

No real issues, although it does smell strongly of petrol, and so do I when I've driven it, think it's overfueling, it's a bit hesitant on smaller throttle openings. Gonna get the software and hook the laptop up, and check the pots and stuff if i can work it out scratchchin

Now just have to put a few more miles on her before the Summer's over...

Great stuff! Glad you are enjoying it but if it smells of petrol please check the fuel lines both in the passenger side of the engine bay and in the rear wheel arch as soon as possible!

These cars are of an age where the lines are starting to perish . When mine went it was spraying high pressure fuel across a red hot exhaust manifold. eek How it didn't turn into a fire I will never know. Please get yours checked for peace of mind.

Wouldn't want your username to be prophetic.

The first time that happened to me was on the motorway in the rain - will never forget it, as I accelerated the back stepped out. Frightened the ste out of me!

I've seen a recent-ish bill for replacement of the fuel lines in the bumph that came with the car, but I'll check them out, cheers.

Week one. I let my bro have a quick go. Thinking he,'s a bit a car enthus I let him take control. All ok until he decides to plant down the slip road. Needles to say my pants needed cleaning. Like you say needs respect in the damp.

Hope you enjoy for years to come.
