Hello everybody
As far as i know ans as far as i read on this forum, different types of decat are available for the 4.5.
I remember to have read that there is a linked one and, by simple thinking, two parts?
Can you explain me the main difference as i can't see the difference on thé websites of racetech, power or others!
If some pictures are available, that Would be great for me.
Final question : where can i buy them?
Many many thanks
Jay

I had a pair of custom ones made for me at a local exhaust fabricators, They are silenced de-cats and are stainless steel and cost me £180 if that helps. Might be best to get some made up at a local shop with a good rep and to your spec.

There is a great write up by Joolz about linked decats, but I simply can't find it - well worth a read though.

I do believe that Joo (spitfire4v8) used to provide a one-piece (welded) de-cat pipe that produced good results when combined with his whirlwind induction and custom re-map.

Balances the exhaust gases (pulses) across the two banks, creating more uniform flow. This changes the sound from the exhaust also.

As a flat plane crank V8 the use of a linked decat pipe shouldn't add value. However, testing proves it does. I am fitting a linked pipe (X Pipe) to my current car, it's a V8 but not an AJP.
